Our Approach
Welcome to VULCAN HEAT STUDIO, a place you won’t regret having visited. Although only in operation since September 2011, the owners and the Sales Manager Johan Janse van Nieuwenhuizen, has a combined 45 years of experience and knowledge. This shop was opened with one objective in mind: SERVICE.
Here we strive to bring the consumer the largest range of good quality products at competitive prices, coupled with sound knowledge and a wealth of experience. Above all, we promise to be honest in all our dealings and provide reliable service at all times.
We sell quality braais and fireplaces from no less than 5 of the largest local manufacturers - Thermo Fires, Chad-o-Chef, Earthfire, Homefires & Jetmaster.
We are also resellers of 15 different ranges of imported fireplaces, from some of the largest importers. These include some well-known European ranges from Godin, Hunter, Invicta, Nordica and Charnwood to name but a few. We also have some affordable ranges from Canature, Top Castings and Invincible.
Quantity aside, we only sell quality units that has a good after-sales back-up service from the suppliers. For expert advice, please visit our shop at 244 Main Rd, Strand.
Our Team
Wayne started his career in his Father’s engineering firm when he left school in 1987. Needless to say he started on the factory floor, learning technical skills and gaining excellent experience in the manufacturing process. The business evolved in opening a Fireplace and Braai Factory where he was part of the team manufacturing these products. From here onwards he was the Maintenance Manager at the current factory, where he gained valuable knowledge and skills in the manufacturing process. Since 2008 he moved over to the sales department of the company. The experience and knowledge gained from working his way up in the business, came to part by knowing exactly what the client’s needs are and be able to assist even Architects and Insurance Companies with various questions and technical detail needed. Wayne has the ability to work well with potential clients as he makes it his business to ensure that the client is satisfied. After sale care is also a natural part of his makeup and due to this attributes, clients come back and refer other clients to him. In the same sense he also has excellent relationships with all the retail manufactures and importers of fireplaces/braais.
In the shop Wayne has the ability and patience to work with different types of personalities. Although sometimes pushed for time and deadlines he is always able to organise his workload to ensure the client comes first.
As owner of Vulcan Heat Studio Wayne’s philosophy is that through excellent client service and providing a quality product the best is yet to come.
Our Salesmanager is Johan Janse van Nieuwenhuizen. He has been with the family for more than 20 years. In that time he has worked himself up from a welder, to factory foreman, on to salesman and now salesmanager. With his 20+ years experience in the braai industry, coupled with the owners' combined experience of more than 45 years, you can be sure that you are given expert advise.
Thabo Molefe is our all-round nice guy that keeps the shop clean and makes a great cup of coffee. He is always willing to lend a hand and has the muscles to assist the salesmen with loading your purchases.
